For anyone that had warranty leaf spring isolators installed, did it fix the issue?

Recommended Posts

My truck has 6k and it has clunked pretty much since new when turning and rocking side to side.  I'm fairly certain this is the TSB about the leaf spring isolators needing to be replaced and the U-bolts being re-torqued to spec.

For any that have done this, did it fix the issue and does it seem like the fix is going to last?

I would like to know too, I checked mine a few weeks ago and it was not to the factory spec( min 140 degrees off).

Just read through TSB 18-NA-183. What exactly was out of spec? I didn’t see any reference to any kind of degree.

They keep slapping grease between mine and it works for a little while then I'm back to squeak-ville

They need to ask Ford who they do it. My old work truck probably did 100k miles on dirt/mud roads and NEVER made a peep

I have a 17 and took it to three shops and one being the dealer. Found out today after the third shop that it was the leaf spring. When you push the truck bed you can hear the clunky noise. Going to dealer next week with the papers about the service advisory and going to push on the bed to show the noise.
