Summit white grill

Newbie here. I am definitely learning a lot. This is a great source of information. So I am wanting to change out the Silverado  black with chrome center bar grill in my LT to the color matched grill that is available in the custom model. I found a couple of the flat black WT grills that I could paint. I was hoping to find a factory painted grill as I never seem to have any luck in regards to longevity when I get a grill painted at a body shop. I called the local dealer and gave them a vin number of a custom that had a summit white grill. They said it was only available in primer and I had to paint to match. I know in previous years GM offered painted parts. I am trying to find out if the the dealer is correct

I assume you’re talking about the surround, and not the face of the grille?  I had mine wrapped.  Turned out great, pretty close match to summit white.

Looks good. Did you paint your grill and fog lights?

The face of the grille came like that, the truck doesn’t have fog lights, those are just inserts.  May get fogs down the road but never used them on my last truck.

Just wait until parts for the 21 are out. The 21 z71 sport education comes all color matched
