It’s making a whining noise at idle. It’s located on the frame. If you crawl under the drivers side door towards the middle of the truck it’s mounted on the frame. I don’t know what it is. Might need to be replaced.

ABS Module and ABS valve body.  

 

They don't whine.  The ABS motor and valve body produce a growling type noise and only when ABS is activated so no noise at idle.  You should have a red brake light or ABS light on if there is any issues with this.

One can use a length of heater hose like a stehoscope to isolate noise.
