The Bad thing on AFM not showing cylinder is sometimes the Range needs to be updated,  so you might have one out of date and not know it.

I hear conflicting info on this.  I would purposely drive in L9 to see if it improved some of the shuttering/lugging and at times it seems improved but other times I notice no difference.  According the mechanic at my local GM dealer, L9 does not do away with the DFM 100% but I've read otherwise.

I hear conflicting info on this.  I would purposely drive in L9 to see if it improved some of the shuttering/lugging and at times it seems improved but other times I notice no difference.  According the mechanic at my local GM dealer, L9 does not do away with the DFM 100% like previous models but I've read otherwise.

L5 (6 speed) L7 (8 speed) and L9 (10 speed) still disable AFM/DFM.
