OTA pushes are done in batches to minimize any impact if there was an issue. These pushes can take months unfortunately and they just started OTA'ing this one recently. That being said we are now supplying this to our customers directly if they dont want to wait simply drop us a line using the Contact US page on the site include your order number and we'll get you setup!

Just an FYI for any of you that want the kit for BASE audio we have a couple available after filling backorders. These units got decontented in production due to availability so they are pretty rare right now

Hey guys - I saw someone ask about the OTA update, was wondering when it would arrive. Popped up last weekend for me(Western NY), took about 10 mins. I think this is the second OTA update since I installed new unit, no issues at all.

Wireless CarPlay continues to work flawlessly and one of the favorite upgrades I've done. Thanks WAMS

Some stuff that I'm also enjoying using wireless CarPlay.

Alexa app - uses the trucks hotspot so now I can run my smart home from anywhere without touching my phone, music etc. You can pick the steering wheel button as the wake for Alexa so thats pretty cool too. It's cool when I'm leaving the driveway and hit the button to say close the shades, lock the doors or turn some tunes on on for the dog. I still use Siri for music so having both is nice. Alexa on a road trip can also provide some laughs with all the random sh*t we ask her.

Also installed a scanner app on my phone which popped up on the truck in carplay mode. Awesome, now I can tune into the local fire department dispatch or any other as it finds my current location and presents a list of available Fire/EMS/Police channels. Nice to know whats going on when you hear sirens - always support your local FDs, especially the volunteer ones!

I know we'd all like a bigger screen, but with the right setup and apps this system has been really good. All the map apps like Waze, Google Maps, etc all seem to work really well, the interface is really functional. Think I'll be keeping this truck until the second model year with supercruise comes out.

It’s called Scanner Radio in the Apple App Store. There are probably others that support CarPlay as well but this works really well for me.

Hey gang GM just dropped V158 for these radios. It will be available as an OTA but as we know those can take a bit to hit given how they are rolled out in small batches. That being said if you would like to update your kit please use the contact us page from our site and include your order number and we'll send you instructions to do this immediately to your vehicle!
