This isn't investing. This is gambling. Lotto ticket like gambling. Fact is, buying individual stocks or even bonds other than some government issues is gambling. 

 

Wallstreet and Mainstreet have forgotten what investing even is...which is not capital appreciation but dividend and  interest. It was never intended to be like trading Rookie baseball cards or betting on dogs or horses. 

 

Investing, as it was originally meant to be rarely had a looser when buying solid companies. Trading always has a looser which means you didn't earn anything. You took something or had something taken. You just can't MAKE money doing it. You can only profit by someone else's loss or bear the loss yourself.

It's just a way to make money, and really not that hard to. Just some DD and time is what it takes.
