So I currently have a 2019 trailboss custom with the 5.3L, 6 speed. The truck is a lease and am considering buying it out when the lease is over (2 years to go). I’ve been thinking of buying a AFM disabler. But then again it’s a lease. 

Is it worth buying if in the end there’s a possibility I just end up giving back the truck? Or should I just keep driving around in L5

That's really up to you.

 

If you want to use 6th gear without the AFM then you'd have to buy that. If in the end you give them the truck back you can sell the device to gain back some money. In the end you may only lose out on $50 if that is what happens.

Before my tune. I dove around in 5th. I had exhaust it was annoying. On the freeway 70-80 It wasn’t on much anyway. Then I turned it off with no change in fuel mileage on the highway. Then went back to stock exhaust. I aged out of loud exhaust at 60.

Buy a Range. If you decide not to keep the truck sell the Range. They don't last long when they pop up used.

AFM disabler is about half the cost of a HPtuners interface. just repogram the DoD to stay off of come in only at highway speed above 50mph
