I'm in the minority but I can't tell hardly any difference after installing my 5100s on the rear. It's a little more planted over potholes and bridge transitions, but that's about it. Otherwise is drives exactly the same as it did.

Did you also install them in the front and if so, any discernible difference?

2021 Sierra 1500 AT4 3.0L diesel, Bilstein 5100’s all around and Cognito UCA’s went on today. Front set to highest 1.1”. It’s more level and feels more solid all around. I’m going to the mountains again this weekend, 500 mile round trip. Should be a good test and I did the trip two weeks ago on the stock ranchos for comparison. 
 

@ero2 I can’t remember which thread you saw my post in so I’m just going to tag you here. 
 

eta, still have the stock 18” wheels and duratrac 275/65r18’s on. May try to fit some 285/70’s in a month or two.

Awesome!  Thanks so much, I'm looking forward to hearing how it rides over the long trip.  My buddy has a 2016 TRD Pro Tundra, so am curious, since I've never ridden in a vehicle with Bilsteins, if the Fox on his truck/ride would be similar to my elevation with the Bilsteins?

I personally think theyre worth the hype. I swapped out to the 5100s about 10 days ago. Prior to when ever I would hit a pothole/bump while on a bend or turn my bed felt like he shuttered over and my axle would almost bounce? Happened to many people I know who had the non trailboss z71 ranchos. Since upgrading I've taken that turn many times with no issues. Overall ride quality is much better day to day as well. Much less squatting while accelerating.

I have a 2019 Sierra SLT, and I just want to get rid of the feeling that my rear axle is hopping all over the place when I go over a bumpy patch in the road. I am not even worried about leveling the truck, just improving the ride and stability.  From what I am reading, the 5100's seem to be the way to go.  I had a Pathfinder at one point and put KYB AGX adjustable shocks/struts on all 4 corners.  From the driver's seat it road just fine.  Passengers in the read felt like their fillings were going to fall out on the middle setting.  That is something I would like to avoid.

How much did the install run?  Wondering what the install cost difference is between spacer level and the 4 bilsteins.  Anyone have any idea?

 

Would the ride be comparable to fox shocks on a tundra trd pro?

I just brought it up to the wifey and she said “if it rides like your FX4 F150 I’m going to hate it, I love how much better the GMC rides than the 2016 F150”...

 

guess I’m either gonna have to jump and see what the hype is all about, or go safe and with the spacer.  I know it’s not her truck, but...she’s in it a LOT, lol.

I hear you, I actually really enjoyed the way my stock ranchos felt and so did my wife.  I could cross ruts and rail road tracks and never feel a thing, it was the pogo'ing down the freeway that bothered me.  When you change shocks, the ride will firm up.
