Love the new 2021 Trail Boss, Bought back in Nov 2020, Love it so far. I see that Chevy this week is removing the DFM from the 5.7. Not sure how I feel about that? I really like the fuel mileage I'm getting glad I got. Thoughts on the DFM good & Bad?

Is there an announcement somewhere that they are deleting DFM from new production vehicles? I'm not arguing in the slightest, I simply haven't seen any announcements so this is news to me and I would like to know more about this.

Here on GM-Trucks.

I have only driven my 2021 Silverado RST about 600 miles so far. I love the 20+ mpg.  That is a lot better than the 10.3 mpg that my 2013 2500HD averaged over the 8 years that I owned it.

It will be select 2021 trim levels that will get the delete. You would also get a $50 credit. Mileage wouldn’t suffer that much in my opinion, Chevy even said the hit would be a 1MPG difference.

I’d rather not have it for a 1mpg gain. Too many things to go wrong. I am putting a Range Disabler on mine until the engine swap.

I'm with you on this point. I do mostly city driving so I'll take all 8 going 24/7.

I totally agree with you. If I wouldn’t take a loss on my truck, I would trade it for one that doesn’t have AFM/DFM.
