The truck was shaking and misfiring approx. a month ago we took it in and was told we need to do a major tune up $1100.  We completed all recommended maintenance on truck.  The truck continued to act up we were now told it was a coil and sensor on number 7? $700 dollars + and drove a couple of days started shaking and misfiring now we are told same problem on 7 (keep in mind we just replaced coil and sensor) and now they said it is also number 4.  Now quoted approx. 1800 to 2000 to fix.  Kept truck at dealer and they are getting ready to replace # 4 coil and sensor.  As they are starting the work they now state it is a valve problem and  will cost approx. $5000 for repair.  We do all regular maintenance on truck warranty ran out at after 5 years (thought we had ext until 7 ) again less than 80K miles.  Any recommendations.  I have contact customer compliance to check on any recalls.  UPDATE : PICKED UP TRUCK today IT IS THE LIFTERS.  This truck has less then 75K miles and he said we might have a heavy foot.  We have never towed anything nor drove off road.

Tell them you want all your money back or the lifters done for free since it was repeatedly misdiagnosed.

Middle finger salute to whoever spoke to you like that.

Open a complaint claim with GM, Tell them exactly how you were treated, and how nice the folks at the Ford lot treated you when you were just forced to look for a new truck.

Use your extended warranty, but do not let that POS dealership do the leg work for you, contact the company yourself and let them know what is going on, then contact the local BBB and see if they can get all of your money back!!!
