Am I missing something? I went to hook up a small trailer to my truck yesterday and it had a 4 pin connector for lights. The bumper had 2 camera hookups, a 7 pin, and spare lock. Inside the bed was another 7 pin and finally a 4 pin. To me a 4 pin inside the bed doesn’t make sense, but why isn’t there one on the back bumper? Is there an adapter I misplaced somewhere or does GMC expect me to go purchase one?7339e6ce573319124ab4c43351eea734.jpg

You can buy a 7 pin round to 5 pin flat adapter cheap. Also I swapped the bumper plug with the bed plug as I have a 5th wheel and the rear add on camera. I think it was Deltek that sells extensions for the camera cables.

How easy is it to swap the 2? That makes way more sense than the way GM has it set up.

It was easy. You just have to pop off the clip from behind that holds it and order the camera extension cables if you plan on using them.
