Recommended Posts

12” lift and solid axel swap. Should take a weekend or two.

LOL, jk. Got any pictures? Do you know what kind of look / functionality you are going for?

Welcome to the site, and congratulations on your new truck.

As the above post asked, what you trying to achieve?

Haha yeah sorry guys for the no pictures or detail.. I pick it up tomorrow so here are the ones from the ad.

It’s the base model 4.3L V6, but for what I need it for it will be great. I will most likely look at some wheels, tow mirrors, and window tints. I’m not sure if there are any interior upgrades or electronics upgrades that anyone recommends.

Thanks

Good looking truck!

Best advice I can give you (lots of posts to support this), make sure not to buy more trailer than the truck you have if you plan on towing something.

New chrome wheels and tires at least for starters. How deep your pockets?

Some katzkin leather seat covers would transform the interior like you wouldn't believe also

Thanks! Yeah I have seen some quite a few posts mentioning this. I won’t be trailering much, but maybe a roughly 3500-4000lb boat a few times a year up to the cottage that 3 hours away. From research I’ve done that should be no problem with the 4.3.

I’ve heard of the katzkin covers before. Any specific place to get them? And are they hard to install?

As for the wheels/tires, I was thinking black rims. I like the white/black look, what do you think?

I prefer the white/black look, as well.
My wheels are Chevy stock black wheels but, if you look at accessories for the GMC, there may be something similar.

Gorgeous truck. This is the exact look I want to do. Including the tow mirrors.

Is your truck leveled or lifted?

Thanks! :)
It ain't cheap, overall I have about 10 grand in it after buying it at 27K.
New wheels, 35x18x12.5 BFGs, trailer camera package (cameras front, each tow mirror and a bed cam), tow mirrors, 3" front level, rear 1" block lift and 1.5" rear spring lift, as well as a 1.5" body lift.
Denali cluster, rear under-seat gun safe, full Chevy floor mats, Chevy labeled sill plates.
I'm sure there are more item I forgot about.
Oh, heck, there is more - retractable bed cover, bed extender flip out barrier. In-channel rain guards, front bug guard - all matte black.
Pretty sure I forgot a few things ...heck, my Chevy dealer parts guys know me by name!

Mike, I passed the 10 grand mark a long time ago.

Chrome looks good with any color.

Black is okay I guess I'm a chrome guy though

Katzkins on ebay is the best deal. You can do it yourself if you are handy.

I see they’re around $1200-$1500 on eBay (CAD) as im in Ontario Canada. Is that fair price? Translates to around $900-$1200 USD
