I had a no start two days ago.

Jumped it and it started. Sat overnight and it started . It started a few more times then a no start.

I put a new battery in and same thing. No start. I checked the two grounds on the cab mounts and they were pretty cruddy. Cleaned them up and nothing.

Where are the rest of the grounds at?

I'm going to check the connections at the starter too.

If I can't figure it out I'll have to flatbed the big girl to the dealer[emoji852]

It was the starter.
I was going to start throwing parts at it. The starter was first on the list followed by the negative battery cable.
I kind of wish I would have just got a new starter and did it myself. The tow was $195 alone. I think they charged extra because it was lifted. Sad it still loads and tows the same. Actually it was easier to hook everything up under it so I say ripoff on the tow. I'm sure the dealer is going to want $500 to replace the starter along with the $175 diagnosis.
What a shittty day.[emoji1787]

The starter they put in has a way different sound than the old one.
Quieter, more of a high pitch. My old one never sounded right out of the box when it was new.
I like this one.

🤣🤣🤣😯

Yep you got the new version. Its a torque beast and better built then the first version. You notice it starts a pinch quicker?

It does .
It's way smoother sounding.

Yeah I think a lot of us have been in that scenario. But the starters are normally the culprit, (if the Batt has good charge), good check is when you get into that "No Start" condition again try Tapping the starter with hammer (or something with mass) then try starting, or have someone crank the ignition while you tap the starter, if then it starts you know. since the late 80's, they did "Crimp Molds" and not solder on the armature windings, and sometimes the starter will stop on a "Dead" circuit (cause by internal arcing) and tapping it will just manipulate enough to make contact again.
