2018 Silverado Z71 grille swap from color to chrome

I have a 2018 Silverado which has a black Z71 grille.  I want to switch out the 3 main black bars to chrome.  Has anyone been able to remove the bars without damaging them?  I have a chrome grille for the switch.  I want to take the chrome bars off and put them on the black Z71 grille.  Any info would be much appreciated.  Thanks

Could you post a picture of each, that way we can see what you trying to accomplish.

You could try a chrome overlay available at Americantrucks.com.
I'm not sure what your grill looks like but this is mine withthe chrome overlay.

Think he might be talking about the chrome inserts like in my grill? Don't think they come out, at least without a fight.

yeah, that's like the High Country grill but i thought they were always in chrome?

High Country has larger, more pronounced straight inserts. Forgot all about that trim level.
