What’s behind here?

I would like to use the blank space here to add a single small toggle switch

 

Does anyone know off hand what the back looks like? If even possible?

My guess is going to be that "blank" is part of the whole switch/unit.

 

Outside bezel needs to come off (one by the vents) then the center stack (screen, radio controls) should come out as a unit.

Should then have access to the back of the switch to see if what you want to do can be done.

Yeah I took it apart last night. 
it’s one big circuit board but the middle of the board looks to be blank.

I installed a missile launcher in the bed of my truck.  That space on the dash is where I put the launch button.  I then tried selling my truck to the military for use in Afghanistan, but they decided to pull out faster than a teenage boy on prom night not wanting to get his date pregnant.
