are the HD dbl cabs bigger than 1500 dbl cabs?

I think its the the HD's 6'9 bed that's throwing you off vs the 1500 6.6' bed. 

Kudos to GM in matching Ford on their standard bigger HD bed .

The HD trucks are taller.

An HD truck is taller than a 1500 with the 2" factory lift. 

 

1500 boxes(22.4")  are deeper inside than 2500 (21") boxes. 

 

4wd DC 1500 has 8.09" ground clearance

4wd DC 2500 std box has 10.12" ground clearance

for sure....i had a 2wd 2020 crew cab 2500 and it sat taller than my 1500 does now with a 3'' lift in front.....i was more curious about just the cab itself....but looks like they the same, should have kept the 2500....
