:fume: DOES ANY ONE KNOW THE PROPER LUBE PROCEDURE FOR THE FRONT END ON THE 4 WL DR SILVERADO THE LOCAL CHEVY DLR LUBES THE FRONT END WITH ALL 4 WHEELS FLAT ON A DRIVE ON LIFT. I WAS ALWAY TAUGHT TO LIFT THE VEHICLE UNDER THE FRAME TO SUSPEND THE BALL JOINTS SO THAT THEY WOULD GET LUBE ON TOP OF THE BALL. PLEASE HELP. IF YOU HAVE A CURRENT SHOP MANUAL SEE WHAT IT SAYS . I DON'T . THANK YOU

you dont have to lift the truck. the socket part of the ball joint has channels for the grease to flow through. you would have to lift it by the lower control arm not the frame for it to make a difference anyhow.

I agree with asepgrad98. And anyhow, the grease would quickly distribute around the entire ball joint after driving a short distance.
