Dreaded intprk, again

Recommended Posts

So I'm well aware that this has been asked probably 100 times by now. But yes, int prk fuse forum again. Everytime I see these forums I read them, but does me no good.

So, keeps blowing as soon as my parking lights turn on. Other than that, I don't see any other issues. Airbags turn off without issue, dash lights turn on, all interior lights including climate control. Only light that won't turn on because of blown fuse is the ashtray light. I have checked the wiring at that light, as well as parking lights. Chewed wires, or rubbed anywhere I can find. Any other suggestions?

If I were to guess I would say your issue is at the place of the light plug in, inside the connection.  They get hot sometimes, melt enough of the plastic away and then make a connection that can blow a fuse.  Replacing the sockets would be the direction I would go next. Starting with the front sockets.
