I got dad the XM roady system for xmas and

everytime I push in the cassette adapter in the trailblazers radio.. it spits it right back out.. if I keep doing it for say 20-40 times it will finally take it and work..

but as soon as you turn the normal radio back on it will spit it right back out..

It will accept and play normal cassette's perfectly.. but not that d**n cassette adapter..

I really hate the thought have having to go with the fm modulator, because it cuts down on the sound quality big time.. and I'm not sure if the normal TB radio has aux in or not.. haven't figured how to take that dash apart yet

The fm modulator won't cut down the sound quality much at all. If the stereo doesn't have an aux-in then I'd go with the modulator.

I totally agree with this. The RF Modulators are nothing like they used to be in which distortion and audio artifacting was introduced. I picked up a Pioneer 910XM, upgrading from my 903 which used the modulator. The 910 directly hooked up to my Pioneer 6500 via the IP cable. About the only advantage I gained was the display appeared on my radio, rather than the module.

Oh, there is an audio improvement, but you'd have to compare the RF vs. IP cable side by side.

And both of these methods are probably far better than the audio cassette method.
