For the El Camino? Not going to happen unless you buy used.

There's quite a few hotrod driveline companies out there that can custom make them. You would need to measure from the tail shaft housing to the rear yoke in whatever way they specify.

Found this in a quick search - never used them: https://shaftmasters.com

A U-Weld-It setup would work, too, but if you don't have the welding skills that would be another expense.

Has to be measured. Whatever company you go with will tell you where they want the measurements taken from. If you have the stock shaft you can take measurements off of that, at the points that they tell you to measure from. If not it'll probably be a measurement from the tail shaft to the rear yoke, and they can calculate it from there based on the transmission model.

So far this is this the best reference I could search and find for measuring a driveshaft length. Is this How you would measure in general for all driveshaft am&oe?40614602-3B44-4CA3-A555-5D653E85E3A0.thumb.jpeg.614f800b5dfd0a77e66140a22ceeca47.jpeg

And currently jacked up off the ground  maybe I should grab now and install later after finishing the front end components or finish front end first driveshaft last . It sounds as if the driveshaft should be the last pieace to the puzzle. All knowledge is much appreciated I can’t never know to much just a fresh gear head 🤷🏽‍♂️

That's usually how they are measured, but you want to be 200% sure you're measuring where THEY want you to measure from for your exact vehicle. If you end up with the wrong size driveshaft, lots of times you're stuck with it, and they're not cheap. Been decades since I've done this, but you never want to be wrong in the slightest here. Measure 10x and be 200% sure you're right on the money.

Doesn't matter what you tackle first, but, if you're waiting for a custom driveshaft to be fabricated, I'd be working on everything else while I was waiting.
