2017 Silverado wouldnt accelerate and now wont start Code U0422-71

So truck has been acting funny for the last week or so. There were a couple instances where the truck would slam into the next gear, always around 1 or 2nd gear. The other day I was sitting at a red light, it went green and I hit the gas and the truck wouldnt move. RPM's were going up but no movement on the truck, it was acting as if it were in neutral. Tried changing gears etc. and after about 1 minute of this the truck starting moving but stuttered like crazy until it hit 2nd gear. Drove perfectly fine the rest of the day.

Today same thing, sitting at a red light and went to go and nothing. RPM's just revving up and no movement. This time I couldnt get it to move at all, tried shutting the truck off to restart hoping that would work and now it wont start back up. I had to push it off the road and get towed.

The check engine light is on and the code its throwing is U0422-71 which apparently has to do with the anti lock brakes communicating with the BCM.

I've tried doing some research but people with the U0422 code seem to have different symptoms and cant find anything with the 71 

Anyone else have this issue? Thoughts or ideas on where to start?

This is what U0422 means, believe the -71 means your scanner does not have the capability to fully find the problem.

 

U0422 Code Meaning :

I tried the G218 ground fix, no luck with that..

Had the starter tested, it's good. It's only 2 months old anyway. Found a blown fuse for the starter,  replaced it and the truck started right up. However the truck will not go into gear, only gear that works is reverse...

Also the check engine light is now off.

How old is your battery?

If I put the truck in L2 it will move through all the gears, pretty much 1st gear is gone. If I get it up to 2-3rd and put it back in drive it works but has a lot of hesitation,  have to give it more gas to get the normal reaction.

Not sure on age of battery, only had the truck 3-4 months and haven't changed battery. I had the battery and starter tested today, both are good.
