Has anyone found actual shop manuals for these trucks?

I know available online thru ac delco etc but super expensive for monthly subcriptions.

anyone know of anything yet?

things like trans flush etc seem more complicated than ever, and don’t want to wing the next few jobs on this truck

I believe what you want is a factory service manual, or FSM. Harder to find on newer vehicles. Last one I had I bought a week subscription and printed to PDF everything. It was a huge PITA, time suck and not something I would do again.

At one point I thought there was a vehicle specific FSM available for a few hundred bucks. But that’s been a few years since I searched for that option.

Where does one find a FSM?  Could it be saved to a hard drive or thumb drive?

Not sure GM even prints service manuals these days.

It seems the only option I can find is for a subscription service to their manual "in the cloud".  Subscription based businesses get a higher P/E applied to the stock, just like when a CEO comes on TV and uses all the hot buzz words for the current time, "subscription model, cloud based support, digital transformation, etc. etc. etc."

Sure hope the kids really love the world they are creating... :)

Helm Inc is the distributor.

Newest currently offered is 2018.

$595

iirc, there is always a few years lag between model year and public manual availability -- but maybe they are now discontinued.

Last set I bought was bound in multiple volumes, about 8.5 x 11 pages, and filled about 2 feet on the shelf.

Covered 1500/2500/3500, silverado and sierra, and all engines and transmissions offered in the year the set was for.
