Have a 2014 Sierra 1500 and wanted to know what years the front diff is a direct swap.   I am wanting to find a one with 3.73 gear and will re-gear the rear end.  I believe this will be easiest and cheapest option for me.  Local shop wants $2,600 to re-gear and 3 days.

I know I need to stick with 1500 series diff, but of what years?  I know the 14-18 should fit, but what about previous generations?

The frame changed on 2014+, so you need to stay with the year range you already said.

I believe you need to know the “carrier size?”

like I think the all the 6.2’s had the 9.76”

like there is only one year and model for the oem 9.76” 3.73. Thats a 2014 max tow 6.2L

that was the only year the 6.2L had a 6speed

Find a online gm parts store, put your truck info in, look up differentials, and it will list all of the models that specific part number is compatible with.
