Has anyone had there TCM tuned on these?  Bought truck with bad lifter and rebuilt engine with stage 1 truck cam and deleted DOD.  Also put in a flex fuel sensor for running E85.  Wondering how tranny performs after tune.

I have no experience with it, but from everything that I've read it's supposed to make a world of difference. Just give it some time to do some learning.

Yep, It’s worth it. I’ve been tuning my 8 speed for over a year and have a great shifting trans now! With that said, there’s a lot on the engine side of tuning that affects how the trans shifts too. For example, dialing in fueling (VVE/MAF) and driver demand can make a big difference. On the trans side, you can change so many things that don’t really make a big difference that I just left a lot of it alone. I basically make the normal table shift times as quick as tow/haul for each gear, bump line pressure a bit in the higher torque ranges, and create a table for the shift torque adder (timing reduction during shifts). Aside from that, I use Bluecat to populate part throttle shift MPH and the torque converter lockup strategy, which makes the biggest difference of all.

so, yeah, a long winded way of saying hell yeah it’s worth it :)
