dead battery on '21 Colorado

So I go out to start my 2021 Colorado which is not 6 months old and 1100 miles on it; and the doors will not unlock.

I open with the key and it won't start.

I hadn't driven it for one week.

Don't understand why the battery was dead.

Had my lights set to AUTO.

I put a charger on the battery.

Isn't this unusual? Or maybe not.

Bad batteries happen.  Could also be an open circuit somewhere.

 

Warranty ... that puppy should visit the dealer and let them figure it out.

Batteries are trash nowadays but its under warranty.
