Great setting, what state are you in?

I'm in BC, Canada. Picture is from an FSR in squamish. Here's another shot from one of my adventures

Thank you for all the input! Very helpful.

I should have been more clear. I am not doing any off road trail, wheeling or rock crawling. I am only driving up forest service roads and logging roads to get to mountain bike trails so the roads are nothing extreme. My only concern is hitting the front bumper with the low ground clearance. Basically I'm just hoping it can go everywhere my F150 is able to take me.

Picture shown is about as gnarly as the roads get. Sometimes after lots of traffic they can be covered with large loose rocks.

You could do that in a Subaru, so any 4WD truck will be more than adequate.  Also, the Z71 comes with a plastic lower valence lip under the bumper which is easily and often removed(TB and AT4's come with it already removed from the factory), and gives an extra couple inches of ground clearance directly under the bumper.

Thats exactly the piece I was worried about. Didn't realize they added an additional air dam under the bumper. Looks easy enough to remove. Thanks for pointing that out.

It's their purely for increased MPG so you will lose around 1 MPG when you remove it, but everybody and their momma removes it and its super easy to do.

Yea, GM used to have around 1000 different pieces on the front end of their trucks.

Then they started to reduce the number of parts for aerodynamics, and a cleaner look, think it is down to around 300 or so now🤔😬
