I apologize if this topic has been covered, however I couldn't find the same issues searching the forum as I am experiencing.  I took delivery of my truck in March 2021.  The day I drove it off the lot I have been having audio skipping and Wi-Fi interference issues.  The truck has been to the dealership multiple times.  They have replaced the head unit, and done numerous updates to the audio system. I have an Apple iphone 13, and it is up to date. The music skips when it is on bluetooth, or hooked up with the USB cable.  Sometimes I get a message on the display that says "Wi-Fi interference".  When I'm on a phone call the call switches between my iphone and bluetooth making driving hands free impossible.  I have noticed a pattern that in certain parts of town the problem can be recreated.  I contacted GMC and they told me it was an Apple problem, 3rd party application, so I needed to contact Apple.  They also credited me with 50,000 GMC reward points for my trouble.  I'm disappointed that GMC is blaming Apple instead of fixing the problem.  I am frustrated with the lack of GMC owning the problem.  My dealership says there is nothing more they can do, and we will have to wait for GMC or Apple to come out with a fix.  Does anyone have any advice?  Are others experiencing the same problem?

No issues here. Driving a 2021 Denali and using Android Auto with a Samsung Galaxy S20+. Not the same, but no issues with this setup to date. Hope someone can chime in with same phone, year truck to help you.

I use wireless android auto with my samsung s8 and 2021 sierra. I get wifi interference all the time, especially at certain locations on my daily route. Sometimes it reconnects. It is extremely annoying when it disconnects while using google navigation. And unsafe because you may be inclined to try and manually reconnect. Recently got an update to my head unit. Reconnects seem better. But still not 100%. Wish gm would figure this out

My 2021 delivered in April connects fine and is stable with my iphone 8. In fact, once the phone is connected, it remains connected until the phone is 150 to 200 feet away. Maybe there is another Bluetooth device causing interference. Does it behave that way with a different iphone?

1. IOS-15 did a number on wireless CarPlay- it’s all over the internet. 
2. you need to backup your phone, reset/erase the entire phone. Start as new and restore. 
3. remove all connections you have made with the truck to a phone. 
 

4. none of that helps- it’s likely your phone has a hardware issue or some sort. 
 

My 12 pro had issues with IOS 15 and CarPlay immediately, prior it worked pretty reliably. 
Now, after an update or so it’s hit or miss 70/30. Most of the time it won’t  immediately connect to the truck WiFi or refuses to bc of CarPlay. When it refuses to connect- airplane mode, turn off BT AND WIFI- turn everything back on.

Sorry, have not had any issues with my iPhone 13 or Apple CarPlay at all. Ready to roll as soon as I start the vehicle, and works great for the duration of my drive.

Thank for the replies.  Yes it does the same with my wifes iphone 11.

Thank you for your response.  I have done the backup/restore on the iphone.  No luck.  I have never had a problem with it not connecting. Just the choppy, skipping problem.

I have a 2022 AT4 and get intermittent Wi-Fi interference with an iPhone 12.  No issues when plugged in with the cable, but Wi-Fi is hit and miss.  More annoying is that it randomly starts to have static/popping sounds at while playing songs/Sirius XM over Wi-Fi.  I get an occasional disconnection but the static and popping is really unacceptable.   Is this a bad head unit or something that they can fix with an update?  Hopefully gets fixed sooner than later.  This expensive of a truck shouldn’t have issues like this.

I agree with you that it should not happen. 
Who knows what was forced down the radio mfr assembly line to get products shipped in the last year of chip shortages. 
I had a random lane departure, parking assist, windshield camera issue throwing error codes. The contacts for the fuse were spread a little bit apart on one side, causing intermittent connection. =nobody’s fault, would have never been caught by QA/QC. The right amount of bounce caused it to connect or disconnect.

I recently bought a 2022 Silverado and I’m having the same problem. So far the solution has been to get used to using Spotify for music and podcasts. Of course that requires the $14/month subscription to Chevy apps. Then I use the Chevrolet Maps app for navigation - which has its downside because you can’t type in a new destination while driving. I swear it’s one roadblock or downside after another with every work around that you try. Absolutely unacceptable given the amount of money that you have to shell out for a vehicle these days.

I can't believe it has been a year since I purchased my truck with zero resolution.  What ticks me off is it's not just a music issue.  When talking on a hands free call, the call switches back and forth from the phone to the truck.  Talking hands free is impossible without interruption. Are you also having issues with calls?  I feel your frustration!

Same issue here. I am constantly driving with navigation and talking on the phone so this issue annoys me every time I get into my truck. I even traded in my samsung s21 ultra thinking maybe iPhone was better, and it’s pretty much the same. Calls switching to handset, then back to the deck, then handset again, losing navigation mid route, and the music. On my 45 minute drive from the job today it cut out 6 times. Usually carplay turns back on within a few minutes, and other times it takes a good 15/20. So sick of this it is making regret spending so much for a gmc. I liked the ford I traded in better.

I have the exact same problem. I upgraded my iPhone hoping it would solve it and it didn’t change anything. I have a 21 AT4 Yukon. Still hoping there is a resolution soon! It sounds like demanding a new head unit won’t solve it either?

I have a 2022 LTD 1500 and have the same issue with music skipping, freezing, black screen/crashing and not accepting inputs from the steering wheel. Chevy said..no light means no error and wouldnt do anything with it since it wasnt acting up at the time they looked at it. Its a damn shame. Hell sometimes CP will not accept touches on the screen either.
