As fate would have it, it's now increasingly likely I'll be buying a 2022 Ford F-150 after locating a dealership who will sell me a $72,000 Platinum - at 3% below the invoice. I don't think any Chevy will do it.

I had the cash, I was going to buy, but the SuperCruise seems to be "late availability" while Ford's giving me the impression it is closer... but I'll have to fly to Iowa then drive all the way to Tijuana.

ah, it will be nice drive though......

the ram i mentioned was 11% below but yeah i think your right, i didnt find anything like that for GM.........even Laura i believe was MSRP at the time.......all trucks are pretty nice so whatever brand, doesnt matter

I'd have to fly in and drive 1,700 miles for the savings.. people have killed for less than that. I could even order it exactly the way I want it and still get 3% below invoice (or roughly 8% below MSRP, not bad without the factory incentives we don't know about). 2019 was crazy with everybody offering incentives, then COVID came and killed it. I picked the Silverado because it was all-new and I also got around 20% off MSRP. RAM was nice for sure, but it seems to be a little behind with self-driving technology.

Since SuperCruise is "late availability," and so is BlueCruise, I am going to have to wait a bit longer. Ain't no way in hell you'll see me in a Tesla, not even the boxy truck, even if it drove itself and got an 800-mile range.

"In a recent announcement, Consumer Reports stated that it has decided to reward carmakers whose driver-assist systems encourage safe driving behaviors. With this in mind, the CR 2022 autos Top Picks, which would be announced on February 17, would reflect scoring changes based on how vehicles’ driver monitoring systems perform in real-world scenarios.

Under the updated scoring system, vehicles with systems that encourage safe driving are given two additional points. So far, Consumer Reports noted that only Ford’s Blue Cruise and GM’s Super Cruise would be earning these extra points. Jake Fisher, senior director of Consumer Reports’ Auto Test Center, explained these findings."
