I just picked up a 2022 GMC Sierra Elevation 2wd and am interested in lowering it some. I was thinking a 2/4 or 3/5 at the most. Can anyone recommend a good kit? Thanks in advance.

McGaughy's kit

I know I'm a big advert for McGaughy's but I have found them to be some of the best kits. Belltech is good too but McGaughy's has great customer support on top of their stuff

I only have experience with one beltech on 92 Chevy 2-4. It worked and was uneventful. I believe it was installed when new. In my 12 years of ownership they’re we’re no problems. It rode well and handled well. The ad when I bought it said lowering springs. That’s all I know on that.

Do you know if they have a 2/4 kit available for my year truck yet? I saw a 4/6 but don’t want to go that low. Thanks.

It says coming soon on the site so I am not sure.

I think belltech has a 2/4 already but I am not sure.

I'm running a Maxtrac 3/5 on my 21 2wd Elevation.  If you're looking for a 3/5 I would look at kits with a notch.  Maxtrac rides a bit rough in back imo, but that can be solved by running belltech shocks in back.  Mine does come in contact with the shortened bump stops on harsh bumps, so I'll be notching the frame here shortly and adding the IHC helper bags.  IHC makes a nice complete kit with helper bags, Belltech is solid as well and rides nice.  I haven't dealt with Mcgaughys for a lowering kit, but had their 7-9" lift on my 2014 Sierra and was very happy with their service and the quality of product.  What size wheels are you going with?

I plan on keeping the stock 20’s for now since I like the way they look. I’d prefer to do a 2/4 kit since I don’t want to do a c notch or anything like that. I just want to get a kit and have no drive train issues.

How would doing a c-notch affect drive train lol?

You may need to do a shim for pinion angle with any lowering kit. Some do some don't

Any of the kits have the potential for driveline vibration.  There's plenty of companies that make shims to help with this.  I'm going through trying to correct pinion angle right now due to a vibration at 30 and 60-70mph.

As @shakenfakesaid, a c-notch won't affect the drivetrain.  You won't need a notch for a 2/4.

So far I have only found that maxtrac has a 2/4 kit available. Seems like McGaughy’s has one in development and bell tech has a 2/2 kit. I may wait for the McGaughy’s to come out.
