I'm in the market to trade in my late father's Sierra HD 2500 Denali Ultimate for a new Yukon Denali Ultimate and was curious if anyone here has traded in their Sierra's lately and what the trade in value was. Any real world insight would be great,

I bet you they will give you damn near what the sticker price of the truck was when new. The market is that insane right now. They are trying to sell used Denali trucks here for $80,000 with 20,000+ miles on them. You'd be a complete moron to pay that price for a used truck but it seems people aren't that bright anymore.

You can do some of the online estimators and even take it to carmax to see what they'd write you a check for. But doing a trade in at the dealer will save you a lot in taxes depending on the cost of a fully loaded Yukon.

Trade in value is dependent on the dealer and how they crunch the numbers for their benefit.  Dealers are crafty at selling.  Trade in values depend on what part of the country you are in
