I need to replace the headlight assemblies on my 2013 2500 HD. I need a recommendation of where I can find QUALITY Factory or OEM headlamps to buy. I've searched Amazon, Ebay, Summit Racing, etc. If you read the reviews a good majority have water leakage problems very quickly and either take water and/or fog up. The warranty is appears to useless i most cases. I would like a recommendation for where to purchase quality headlight assemblies that won't leak.

I'd just bit the bullet and buy them directly from the dealership or GM parts direct. You can look up the part numbers on GM parts direct. I think they are roughly $150 for each side.

Otherwise I have bought the TYC brand of lights many times before. Never bought a headlight for your specific truck but many other vehicles.

Thx for the reply. If the factory originals are $150 that's about the same price as the OEM aftermarket so I agree go with you on purchasing the factory original. I'll check out the TYC brand too.

P.S. It would be really nice if factory headlamps still used glass lenses instead of plastic. The only reason I'm replacing them is that the lenses have cracks and are faded. That wouldn't happen with glass. Probably price and weight changed the design and materials, but I think most consumers would be willing to pay more and take the little extra weight as it would all balance out in the end with the replacement labor and material cost. Additionally, aftermarket has cut corners even more by not building their's with gaskets and/or silicone sealing.

Plastic is way lighter than glass as you know, and you figure at least 2 head lights per vehicle that glass uses up a LOT of gas on that scale. I don't think you want to glue the cracks and  sand/buff out the excess glue (like you would a touch up paint job) and I don't think it would be legal. The cracking is prolly due to age and debris hitting the lens, but the fading/glazing over you can buff out. I hear car wax on the lens slows down the (prolly) sun's effects (glazing) on the plastic.

If they were not cracked just faded I would use that 3M headlight restoration.  I used on mine and it restored like new and they were badly faded.  I agree just get OEM.
