PPE Resonator Delete 3.0 Duramax

I installed the PPE resonator delete this weekend. I was going for some added sound and didn't expect any performance increase. It didn't add much sound, if any. 

 

If you are on the fence of getting it, it's a nice piece for sure and I can see how it "COULD" offer some performance, but don't expect it. 

 

I still think the S&B intake is the best mod for these 3.0 Duramax Diesels.

 

Anyone else install one and notice an increase?

My window has to be down to hear the turbo. Windows up, the cabin is just too silent. I have a lean or turbo lag now, after the install, when doing a 4x4 full throttle power launch from a dead stop. It will break the tires loose, but no second gear scratch. Waiting on banks tuner.

after driving a bit more I was starting to think the throttle response may have been a little improved. 

I don't do any 4x4 launches so I can't give my feel on that.

 

I too, am waiting on that banks unit !!!

I installed the AFE Blade runner hot and cold charge pipe kit and  I also did not notice any difference in sound or performance. I have the banks pedal monster installed with the S&B CAI and i feel that those 2 mod make a difference on these 3.0. I will be getting the banks tuner as soon as it’s available hopefully sooner rather than later. I have my fingers crossed.

Curious with these add on's they some of you installed, are they more of a "feel or sound" but not been verified by dyno or drag strip times if they actually add to anything performance wise??

The resonator delete and the S&B CAÍ are more for sound and aesthetics so it’s your call wether you want to make the purchase on those 2 mods. The banks pedal monster makes a big difference IMO. The pedal monster doesn’t give you more performance but it makes your truck more responsive when stepping on the pedal. It delivers the get up and go when you want it instead of there being a slight lag time. The tuner is probably what you’re looking for which banks from what I hear does a great job of designing for all diesel motors.
