I noticed a steady spurting type of leak near the gas tank, and I know it's not my fuel line, because I checked around it. It seems to be coming from a very corroded line right above the three fuel lines that are close to the fuel filter. I can't seem to follow it towards the back but it sorta goes along the fuel tank. Anyone know what this line is for and maybe how to replace? I don't know if I'm explaining this right.

there are 2 or 3 lines going to the fuel pump connection on top of the fuel tank depending on what year the truck is , 1 is pressurized fuel, 1 is fuel return and 1 is a vapor line. its common for the lines, the top of the fuel tank and the sending unit lines to rust out if you live any where they use salt on the roads or the truck has spent part of its life there. you can either drop the tank or remove the bed if it's a pick-up to repair it. removing the bed is usually easier if you don't have a lift but you may have to drop the tank anyway if the top of the tank has rust holes in it

if you decide to drop the tank take a tubing cutter and cut the 3 lines just forward or the tank. it's much easier than trying to disconnect them while balancing the fuel tank. then put them back together with compression unions when you reinstall. Careful you don't cut a brake line by mistake

you can cheat and cut a hole in the bed  too but thats usually not  very pretty and you have a fuel leak which limits your options of cutting tools

the only other line in that area is brake lines  and you would know if you are losing the brake pedal I think. if it is a brake line leaking replace the whole line with 1 piece if you can. just run a new piece along side the fuel tank instead of trying to remove the old line just go next to it. Dorman and GM have preformed lines but remember the lines are installed before the bodies, fuel tank etc are on the truck so you may have to bend or cut some lines to get them where they go. I prefer to make my own lines with coil stock nickel/copper brake line. you will need a tubing cutter and a flaring tool that does double flares to do it that way as well as the fittings

O rings on the connections? sending unit leaking? did you remove the bed or drop the tank to replace them?
