Morning everyone!

Looking at opinions for break upgrades. Been eyeballing the SSBC B8 Barbarian kit for the front and back and find it very appealing that they fit behind factory 18 inch wheels and work with ABS. Been talking to a Rep at SSBC trying to figure out if they are compatible with the pad wear sensors and parking brake.

Anyone done this upgrade to their trucks?

$1800 for a brake upgrade?  That seems to be a rather poor value proposition.

I am curious why you think you need a brake upgrade for your truck. What issues are you having? I tow right at 12,000 lbs and have zero issues. No brake fade and no issues where bigger brakes would help anything.

I find the stock brakes to be spongy and lack feel, unless they are pumped once first.  In a panic situation, they are not confidence inspiring.  I can understand why someone would want to upgrade.

@crookedpat before you do the upgrade, you might do a quick search regarding what others have done to positively affect the performance of the stock brakes.  Something about pressing down on the pedal really hard.  I haven't tried that yet.
