Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do to protect the front end and front hood of your vehicle from rock chips?

My vote would be for XPEL, great stuff.  I've used it on my last three vehicles. 👍

How hard is it to put on? I dont have much patience for something that is hard to put on lol

You need to get it installed by a pro.

I put Xpel on my 22 LTD High Country. Cost around $800.

I did the bumper,  front of hood, and the front part of fenders.

IMO if you have a non chrome bumper you need xpel or it will be full of rock chips after a couple years.

I agree with dieselfan1, get some soft of ppf on any painted parts on the front. I had a local pro install 3M PPF. I then bought a kit online that was precut and did my pillars, top of cab and all lights on the front. It was harder to work with than I thought but can be done.

I usually buy precut kits from invisiblemask.com BUT if you have no experience with vinyl or wrap at all, I would definitely recommend having a pro do it.

Dang, those prices are higher than what I was quoted to have it done professionally.

Yea I would verify what type of ppf your installer quoted you for, I'm guessing they probably quoted you the thinnest cheapest material they use if you mentioned cost being a factor. Just make sure your getting a quality film installed and not a 1 year film.

Stek Dynoshield, I never mentioned cost being a factor.
