Power window

My 1999 Silverado passenger door window got stuck in the down position, I took off the panel and was abel to help it back up. I was wondering since I did that my door lock doesnt work write, and I am not sure how to get the window back on line so it works correctly. Any help would be great.

Just took mine off last night. Passenger side door window tracking clanging around in there as well. Removed the panel and tightened every bolt. About every bolt in there was extremely loose. Also oiled the door roller piece from the inside which was easy to get at.

 

When I put the panel back on the lock stopped working correctly as well. But then again the pasenger door lock has worked spuratically with periods of it working right and then some fits. I did however notice that the rod was a little bent so I straightened it out until I could slide it back and forth easily. Might have gotten bent taking the panel off or putting it back on.

 

Remove the panel again. A step they don't tell you to do which in my opinion you shoud is to remove the door lock knob from the panel before lifting the door off. This just pries out. Check to make sure the rod slides through the plastic guides effortlessly. Add a little lubricant if needed. Replace the panel then put the lock knob back on.

 

So far mine has been working flawlessly. I did however notice while playing around with the unluck/lock electrical button that after a while of repaeted lock/unlock that the actuator in the passengers door did stop in one direction or the other like if it was dead. Maybe some sort of save on it to prevent it from blowing out????

 

Also I noticed that the door locks don't work properly under low battery voltage. Had the doors open for a while and the truck shut the dome light off (Power Saver feature??) So maybe the BCM controls the locks based on monitoring battery power???
