One month later

My truck is still at the Lordstown Ohio distribution facility. Tons of refresh trucks shipping out of there. Can’t wait to get mine. Dealer says the 15th. It’s been a long wait. Truck was built May 31st. I’ve put a ton of miles on my track pack mustang this summer after selling my 21 LT trail boss but it was all worth it.

Power to you guys that go through the order process, especially if you are in any way impatient like me.   Just curious.. why do you special order?  Are you ordering a VERY rare spec?   With the constant price increases, seems like it would be better to search nationally and just go get it.     I trade in every 2-3 years..  and my trucks are generally the harder spec to find.  But I seem to always find them. Last month I wanted a 6.2 RST, Z71 Refresh.. but with the lighter interior color (80% of them are the black)  Anyway.. I found one.. price/trade-in value was good, so I drove 9 hours to get it and just be done with it.  Made a little trip out of it... got to visit some family on the way home.

I ordered this time so I could get the exact truck I wanted that didn’t include any features I didn’t want to pay for, like a sun roof. Also, ordering made sure I would actually get one and locked in my price at time of order. The MSRP on my truck was increased twice, about $2500 total, between order and delivery. I didn’t have to pay that increase.

 

Also, I absolutely don’t have a free day to just drive 9 hours for a truck.

I took delivery last night! Built 5/31/22 and finally made it to me!

 

The refresh interior is insane. Well worth the wait.

UPDATE : so I stop by the dealer today, my sale person was not there so I start talking with other sale representative so just happened that her father have Denali on order and his truck was stuck in shipping pending so she did some digging, and she found out that trucks with technology package are on delay also big set back right now is hood liner , they don't have hood liners and gm won't ship the trucks with out that.
