HD power fold mirrors on a 1500?

Anyone know if the 2500/3500. HD power folding mirrors will fit and work on a 2021 1500 Duramax?

You will not get the power folding option without a lot of add on's and a BCM flash. I am not 100 sure if the mounts are the same, but the 2021 15 uses a 19 pin plug as I just put mine on today. I imagine they are the same mounting platform. Depending on the price though you would be paying for several options you wouldnt be able to use.

Wonder what the changed from the previous body style to the new to have to flash the BCM for power folding mirrors.

I know you can get the HD mirrors with the same option as the standard 1500 but good to know about the wiring. 
Boost Auto show a set of 1500 power fold in developing with the same option as OEM so I guess I’ll just wait to buy those.

T1 trucks were introduced in 1500 a model year before the HD's

In 2019, GM didn't offer tow mirrors on 1500's.

They became available (the new style mirrors) in 2020 when they were released for the HD's

 

2020+ 1500 uplevel tow mirrors are power fold.

2020+ 2500/3500 uplevel tow mirrors are power fold and power extend 

 

Power extend hasn't been made available for 1500's

 

1500 lower trim tow mirror

DPO         Mirrors, outside power-adjustable vertical trailering with heated upper glass, lower convex mirrors, integrated turn signals, clearance lamps and auxiliary lighting; manual folding/extending

 

1500 upper trim tow mirror

DQS         Mirrors, outside power-adjustable vertical trailering with heated upper glass, lower convex mirrors, turn signal indicators, puddle lamps, perimeter lighting, auxiliary lighting and memory; power folding/ manual extending

 

 

DQS mirrors are listed as  "Not available to order at this time" in the 2023 model order guide.

Im not sure, when I was looking at the mirror options, my local pats guy showed me cost on a couple of options. Even my new (non power folding) mirrors have a code to update BCM to enable features and calibrate. the other required the mirrors, new harnesses plus the door panel actuator. The update code was likely just to calibrate the mirror speed and he gathered there would be more programming needed so I said screw it. Its a super nice feature but it wasnt worth paying that much more without some better guarantee it would work as  it should. I had the basic TRQ mirrors with no puddle,  spot, cameras etc so that  may have some factor in it.
