Infotainment software update

The radio in my 22 LTD High Country has been turning itself off then comes back on after a few seconds. Once every few days.

Yesterday I got the notification to do an update. You have to leave the truck shut off for 15 minutes.  Got back in and it said update successful. 

It hasn't shut itself off yet so we'll see. 

Anyone else do this?

Mine updated a couple of days ago. Its the only one the truck has ever seen. The wife's Terrain has never had one. Its a 22 also.

Randomly done this on my 2020 since new.  Usually when playing music from my iPhone.

It still shuts itself off. It did it this morning. Also noticed the subwoofer is off for the first 30-45 seconds after the radio comes on. 

I really don't want to waste my time bringing it to the dealer only to hear them say " it didn't shut off for us, we have no idea whats wrong".

I wonder if I should try to disconnect the battery for a couple hours?

 

BTW my 22 LTD LTZ is having radio issues too.

It stays on when you shut truck off and exit . You cannot turn it off. It goes off after the 10 minutes. 

Anyone ever have this happen?

Sounds like your update isn't complete. Mine did it for 3 times and I was like what the heck is going on. Then it popped up to install the update. Once the update completed successfully it went back to normal operation. There is a setting on the radio for download updates in the background. Mine is turned on. I'm not sure how it would act with it turned off. I'm guessing it would prompt to download and download the whole thing right then.
