2022 Yukon XL AT4 Radio volume shuts off and can only get volume after turning off vehicle and restarting 5 minutes later

Recommended Posts

I have 2022 Yukon XL AT4 and about every 3 trip while listening to the radio the volume shuts off and no matter what I do (change to AM from FM or to Sirius) I can not get the volume to work. If I shut off the vehicle and restart it emidialty the volume still does not work. If I wait 5 minutes to restart the vehicle then the volume returns to normal. Does anyone have any ideas to address the problem? I am trying to avoid another trip to the dealership.

Did you get the radio issue fixed? What was the cause and what was the fix?

My problem is not as bad as yours but, about every 20 trips, my satellite radio refuses to load and does not work.  Like you, I have to shut the car off and wait before I can restart and it resumes working.

Even worse, the Apple CarPlay does not connect to my phone about every 5th time. Again, I have to play games to make it work. This is a real PITA. I recently rented a Lincoln and it worked first time, every time. The software in this GM radio is the pits.
