spotted this egg on the inner sidewall. 😬

Not sure what inspired me to do the tire rotation last night, but grateful that my guardian angel kept me safe for however long I was rolling on that.

These tires have 3 years and 30k mi on them. I have been pretty pleased with the tires and did a lot of reading and research when I bought them.  My initial reaction last night was, I'm getting a new set of tires and switching brands.  However, in going back to my research from before the reason I chose these were because they had good on road performance, relatively quiet for an AT, lighter than most (44lbs each), aggressive enough tread for the limited off-roading I do, and plenty of load capacity for the hauling/towing I do.

I went ahead and scheduled an appointment tomorrow for 4 new AT3 4S's

Change my mind.  Should I consider another brand like Falken? Go back to the noisy/heavy BFG's?  Something else?

Thanks!

Put a set on my truck earlier this year, nothing but good things to say about them. Great tires so far.

I have the Falken Wildpeaks (275/60R20) and I've been pretty happy so far. I had them installed in Feb 21 and at 52k miles. I'm now at over 75k miles and still in great shape. I did have to have them road force balanced again back in July of this year because I was getting some vibration. Luckily I bought them at Duscount Tire and can get them rebalance for the life of the tires as well as free rotations. They confirmed that one tire was off a bit and corrected it. Nice and smooth again after that...

Well.....Replaced all 4 today with a fresh new set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S.  Drives like a whole new ride.  Love the smell of brand new tires!

Great service from a local shop and even get a $70 rebate from Cooper.

Had the same tires and had them replaced due to recall  Replaced them with different brand  Got full MSRP credit for the Coopers

I had a set on mine as well, but I too got a bubble on the outside tirewall.  I also went on ratings and loved the tires, but didn't have the change and had a 10 hr drive the next day so I went with Canadian Tire El cheapo's until I can afford another set.  Wonder if it is a manufacturing defect.

Did you reach out to Cooper to see what they had to say? I just had a set installed on my truck and now I'm going to constantly give them a look over for anything like this.

Probably. A link to recall was posted by @IGG in his comment above

Had a set of them on a 2013 Tahoe, rode smooth for a decently aggressive looking tire.

Thanks IGG!  I had no idea about the recall and didn't think to check. I will give Cooper a call and see what can be done.
