Trailering app stuck on light test

I recently bought a 2020 1500 RST with the 3.0 Duramax. When I try to use the trailering app, it stays stuck on the light test screen. It won’t do anything else. I’ve reset everything to factory default and erased all user settings and it still doesn’t work. Am I missing something? Can this even be fixed? So far a little over a month of ownership and already had the rear window leak that had it at the dealership for a week and now this… I’m really starting to wonder how big of a mistake it was buying a GM.

Jarhead, as a Marine veteran myself I know that you are really happy with your purchase because you're complaining. After all, a Marine isn't happy unless they are complaining. Secondly, like all things when there's a technical glitch, call the Chair Force. Seriously though, turn off truck, open door, close door, restart truck, access trailer app.  Did that fix it?

Negative. I’ve tried it everytime I’ve turned the truck off and back on. Always stuck on the light test screen. The light test does function as it’s supposed to on my trailer. But that’s it. And yes, if Marines aren’t bitching then you have to worry .

Try running and turning off the light test with the myChevrolet app on phone, no cost for that app. That's how I run the light test from behind travel trailer. My problem is that the Trailering app will not always start, I get a blank screen a lot and have to use the turn off, open/close door, wait 10 mins, try again routine. Trailering app is great when working.

I’ve tried using the app as well. Can run the light test from my phone and it works fine. But is still the only thing that comes up on the screen in the cab. Haven’t actually towed with it yet, but it does seem like the trailer brake controller and gain functions work properly. The trailering app does look nice from the videos I’ve watched. Wish this thing would work!
