I had the lifter failure at 90,000 with my 19 Silverado. Mechanic got it all fixed up but instead of taking it to the dealership to have the computer re programmed, he was told by his "computer guy" that you just install the Pulsar LT and I wont have to spend the high dollar cost at dealership to have them do it. All was great at first but I noticed the oil alert would go back to 9% right after it is reset, also the Change air filter alert was doing the same thing, I could reset it and it acted normal but next time I start it up, the Change oil and change air filter alerts were back on. On the fourth day, I was driving home and it went in to reduced power mode and said service parking brake and service ecm I think? Anyone ever heard of using the Pulsar for this? I think it is causing the problem. Mechanic replaced lifters, cam, cam bearings and crank bearings. Help! I want my truck back!!

Looks like I have to get the Diablosport Pro and have it custom tuned to make it work. It is on order and I will try to remember to come back and post what my results are.

Only reason it would have to be "re-programmed" is if some WA cam was used to replace the stock one.  As well, why replace some of the bearings and leave the rods?

Still sounds broke to me.... maybe seek restitution if the original estimate included a quote for the "dealer re-program" and find another "mechanic".

And the warning was service esc (not ecm like I said).

ESC is a warning for the Stability Control, did you go after market with the cam swap or are the parts all stock and if they are stock, why the need to reprogram anything? I'm thinking at least for the ESC warning is that the mechanic didn't put everything back together 100%, i could be wrong though this is just a hunch as those are errors are for things like traction control or abs systems.

New here;

Hi all.  So the other day my 2020 2500 Sierra decided to start acting up.  My service esc, 4WD, Parking brake and TCM lit up.

Then I got the message of reduced power to protect the vehicle!.  Low and behold,  after trying some different tactics decided to play with the remote starter fob and VOILA..  Truck issues all better.  The morning my problems started, I had remote started the truck with the FOB and it ran the full cycle; before I actually started to leave for work!    So when it shut off, it went into a funky chicken Valet mode or something and messed the computer.

P.S. I have one minor annoying issue still.  If someone could help me, I would be grateful!

My Parking brake goes on automatically when I shift to PARK.  Anyone know how to reset that feature?

Cheers,

JO
