So I was looking at a 23 RST Z71 and a 23 TB Z71 side by side and the front suspension.  Everything looks identical in the front, so what do they use to add the two inch lift to the Trail Boss?  I know they add the block to the rear but I cannot see what was different in the front of the truck.  Same shocks and control arm and I do not see a spacer.

The front strut is where the lift is on the TB. The spring perch is higher giving the 2" lift. The TB also has different CV axles than the normal Z71 to handle the difference in CV angle. I saw mention in another thread on the refresh trucks, they changed the upper A arm on the TB and ZR2 trucks from the standard suspensions. They are supposed to be redesigned to correct ball joint angle which can result in premature failure if it is running at bad angles. That's why any lift over 2" for aftermarket kits strongly recommends replacing the upper A arm with one designed for a larger lift.
