Black Headlamp. Where did it come from?

I bought this truck used, drove it off down the road only to realize later on that the headlamps don’t match! It’s super clean, I can’t tell it’s been wrecked (I’ve looked hard), and I’ve given a diligent effort to match them on the internet to no avail. I haven’t thought to pull it, maybe later, but does anyone know if this black reflector is some factory option on some other model or trim? Im

That looks like a yukon headlight

Someone opened it up and painted the inside. Maybe did a crappy job and the one that’s not painted may have leaked and they had to replace. I had mine done that way as well….

So you did have yours painted. I've considered that before its all said and done. Glad to know you can on these. (I did that on my last truck, 2012)

I thought about color matching my RST headlights. But I dont really see much chrome to be painted, and decided to paint the fog lamps instead. The GMC version has more chrome to paint.

Except it says SIERRA right in the side of it.

It looks like Traction may have answered your question. Take a look near where the clear lens, and black casing mate up for sealant.
