2007.5 (NBS) Silverado 2500 LTZ

Both front power seats will not move, the driver seat will not move at all but i can hear the motor spinning, i’ve taken both seats out and cleaned the track and continuously sprayed wd40 and PB blaster along the track but the seat will not move, it is trying but it will not even when pushed
The passenger side moves a little basically .5-1.5 inch and then stops and if you press the button 1-3 times it’ll move another inch or two but will only go so far up.

Both tracks have been cleaned and seat bottoms have been cleaned, everything else works even lumbar the seats just won’t move forward or backwards (toward and away from steering wheel)

Two questions here

1. can i buy black seats and swap the bottoms out (my truck has cashmere and both seats are in decent condition) and use those or do i have to buy working seats

2. any way i can fix these under ~150

Can't remember the years, but there was a time when the gears used to move the electric seats FWD/Backward were made of plastic and would strip out.  Might want to check the drive motor gear(s) and see if they're stripped or broken

THIS. It is laughable how easily these little plastic gears break. Hardly ever used them on our GMT900 and they were all broken just off of warranty. Definitely not engineered for the weight of even thin Americans!

Check youtube...there's bound to be a few videos on replacing the gear(s)
