Lift kit and Tires...

So I've been scouring the endless posts of everyone's set-ups and there is so much info to keep track of.

 

Maybe y'all can help me out here...

 

2020 RST 3.0 Duramax, stock 18 inch wheels

Installing a 3" motofab kit with UCA and rear shock extenders.

 

If I choose to use the same stock wheel, what are my options for tire sizes?

I should be able to do 33's comfortably, but can I fit 35's?

35s fit on the stock wheels with the factory 2" at4/z71 lift. slight rubbing on the front mud flaps at full lock.

i put 275/70/18 (33's) on with the rough county 3" lift. fits perfectly , but thought about going to 34's next since someone said they didn't have to trim ( 295/70/18). Problem with going to the 35's isn't so much of the height, it's the width that causes you to cut.

Well, I feel like an idiot cause I just realized I have 275/55/20 now. So I have 20 inch wheels not 18...

Doesn't matter.   33" tires come stock on just about every other trim level of the Silverado and Sierra.  35" tires will fit stock Silverados with little to no rub depending on the brand.  The Sierras have a slightly smaller wheel opening and therefore tend to get a little rub with 35's, but nothing that cant be fixed with a little trimming.  The trouble comes in when you put aftermarket wheels on the truck with non factory offsets.

With a 3" lift and stock 18 inch wheels, you should be able to fit 33-inch tires without any issues. However, fitting 35-inch tires may be possible, but it will depend on a few factors such as the height, width, and offset of the wheels, and the tire's sidewall height.

If you decide to go with 35-inch tires, you will likely need to trim the fender liners and possibly do some other modifications to prevent rubbing. It's also important to keep in mind that larger tires will add more weight and may affect your vehicle's performance and fuel economy.

He'll be able to fit 33" tires regardless of being lifted or not, the trucks come from the factory with 33" tires.

I'm running stock 20's with 35x11.5x20 Toyo AT3's.  I did put a 1/4 spacer because my tires were barely rubbing at full droop on the UCA's.  It has a 3.5 inch Cognito Coilover kit and I have the 3.0 Duramax as well

The exact lift kit I will be installing is the motofab kit 3 inch front and 2 inch rear with the improved UCAs. 

 

I have some ugly stock chrome wheels right now with the 275/55/20s. Truck is a 2020 RST with 3.0 Duramax.

 

With everything I have read and seen, Depending on the tire brand I should be able to fit 35s relatively easy.

 

I'm most likely going to plastidip the wheels until I can find another set with the same dimensions as stock that look better on a black truck.
