For those powering door speakers from an amp... how

I'm fairly electrical and mechanically inclined so on the fence about upgrading/installing my new gear vice taking it to a shop. 

 

While planning, feel I'm pretty good with everything minus how did you guys (or did you) feed speaker wire through the molex connectors in the door jambs? Quick search on the you tube had people drilling them out and fishing wire through. 

 

Anyone just tap into the factory wiring? This seems like a good alternative since Im not running anything crazy RMS and think factory wire is 16 gauge

 

Is this the consensus on how to proceed?

I just used the existing speaker wire and speaker wire adapters in the doors so I didn't have to cut anything. Most are doing it this way.

I would agree , I know a couple companies that make harness's so this can become plug and play for you
