Why does my 2014 6L90 not have the thermostat block?

Interesting! That's a good question. I thought all had them. Do you have a picture of what it does look like without it?

Correct, the 6L90e does not come with them because of the heavy duty application.

HD gas don't have them on 2019 and older.  2020+up do.  Diesel does 2017+up.
