2019-2022 GMC Sierra Complete sound system upgrade.

Hey,

 

I have a 2021 gmc Sierra and I’m starting a full sound system upgrade with door speakers ,subs, amps and Dsp. Has anyone done this yet and have some pointers? All products have been purchased and I’ll start and complete the project over memorial weekend .

Yes, I put a full system in my 2020 RST a while ago. Highly recommend using the LLJ customs loopback harness to avoid running a bunch of wires. 

 

FYI...Price since 2020 has dropped from $200 to $115 for the same harness.

@jashaw Hey thanks for the info because I am doing components in the rear and front. I was mounting the tweeter easy there? Also I did have an llj loop but they never sent it after waiting 5 months. I’m using a different company harness now. Did you use an rta for tuning ? What signal did you use for your sub signal

Yikes! 5 months!? 

 

Yes, just need an appropriate size hole saw to cut out the hole for the tweeter. 

 

I did not do any special tuning.  Just had a friend adjust the gains on my amp until each channel sounded good to my ears while in the driver seat. 

 

My 5 channel amp has a dedicated channel for the sub.
